Port Charles

Susan Brown and Peter Hansen
When the spin-off of General Hospital, Port Charles, came to fruition, some of GH's core characters became an integral part of the show. Among them were Scott, Lucy, Kevin and Lee and Gail Baldwin. Gail still counsels and worries over her family and friends. She has a sympathetic ear and wise advice, for those who will listen.
Lee and Gail's marriage has remained intact, whereas many others have failed.

Lee and Gail Baldwin!

Dr. Gail Baldwin

Port Charles' most famous woman psychiatrist deserves a night out on the town after all the work she's done!

Dr. Gail Baldwin counsels Dr. Kevin Collins on many of his psychological issues. Gail notices that Kevin is upset about something and she asks him what's going on. He tells her that his
fiancé, Lucy Coe, was looking forward to the visit with her surrogate daughter, Serena, but Scott Baldwin, Serena's dad, won't allow it.

Apparently Scott is concerned about Kevin's stability. Gail gets annoyed and expresses disappointment that Lucy didn't get to visit with Serena because of her son. Kevin doesn't want Gail to get mad at Scott because of them. Gail tells him, "I'm not as mad as I am frustrated, if anyone should avoid taking the high road it's Scott".

Then she laughs and shakes her head and say's "It's all so complicated... here I am your therapist and Scott's my son" (I love it when she refers to Scott as her son)

Later, Karen Cates, Scott's grown daughter, shows up on Lee and Gail's doorstep. She and the other interns at General Hospital had been held hostage by Greg Cooper. Cooper was supposed to have had a spot in the Intern program but was replaced by Karen because Lee pulled some strings. Lee and Gail are very relieved to see Karen; they each give her a big hug.

Gail tells Karen that Monica had called to tell them that she was safe. Karen then tells them it's nice of them to be concerned. Lee replies, "You're our granddaughter, of course, we were concerned." Karen tells them what happened and that Greg went nuts because someone replaced him in the Intern program. She turns to Lee and says, "But you already knew that didn't you, Grandfather??" Gail is furious that Lee interfered in Karen's life. But Lee asks Gail, "Is it so bad for an old man to want his granddaughter near him?" Gail replies, "Old man, my foot.. don't try to make her feel guilty."

Gail wants to help Karen through her ordeal, but Karen tells her grandparents that she is leaving town. Lee is very saddened by this because he considers her a part of their family. But Karen tells them she "was just an accident that their son had that they didn't even know about." Gail looks really sad and tells her, "You have no idea how sorry we are that we didn't know you all these years."

Lee then informs Karen that Scotty is back in town. "Don't you want to meet your father before you leave town?" While they wait for Scott to show up, Lee and Gail argue about Lee's interference in Karen's life.

Karen calls Jagger, her husband, but she can't get reach him. Gail comments that Karen must really miss Jagger. Karen replies that he works all the time, anyway.

Lee tells Karen that Scott was really excited to meet Karen. Karen then says she hasn't seen Scott since she found out that Scott was her father. Gail tells her that Scott was secretive with everyone because he worries so much about Serena.

Scott arrives and tells his parents and Karen that Serena is missing and he thinks that Lucy took her. Gail tells him she doesn't believe that Lucy would do something like that. Scott rushes out and is hit by a car. Lee, Gail and Karen rush out to help him.

Scott survives the car accident and the hunt is on for Serena. A few weeks later, after Serena has been found, Lee and Gail arrive at the Lighthouse to see their granddaughter. Gail gives her a big hug and tells her she is even more beautiful in person. Lee tells Serena that she looks just like her father.

Serena asks her grandparents if they can stay for Pizza and Lee and Gail are thrilled to get the chance to spend time with her.

A few days later Lucy invites Lee and Gail to come over and spend some more time with Serena. Serena takes Gail and Kevin outside to see Sigmond, the Duck. Scott frets about Serena being out of his sight and Lee tells him "she's fine, she's with your mother." (I also like when someone refers to Gail as Scott's mother)

Outside, Kevin tells Gail that he and Lucy are expecting a baby. Gail is thrilled for both of them. Kevin also tells Gail that he doesn't think this kidnapping ordeal is over. But, after a lot of convincing, Scott finally decides to remain in Port Charles with Serena. They celebrate this decision with Lucy, Kevin, Gail, Lee, Karen and Joe. Scott toasts the Baldwins and say's "I guess you really can go home again."

Lucy has had a miscarriage and the house is so solemn. Gail arrives to take Serena to the zoo to allow Kevin and Lucy time alone. Kevin answers the door and Gail tells him how sorry she is and to let her know if there is anything she can do.

She walks into the lighthouse and greets Serena and tells her to "get over here and give me a big hug." Serena runs over to her Grandma and hugs her tightly. Gail says "I feel much better now, are you ready to go to the Zoo?" Serena wants to take Sigmond(the Duck), but Gail and Kevin convince her that they would probably have more fun without him. Gail tells Serena that she brought peanuts for the elephants and the bears. Serena replies, "Bears don't like peanuts," but Gail laughs and tells her that they do like peanuts.

Later Serena and Gail are in the park, talking. Evil Uncle Rex is watching them, waiting to make their lives miserable. Serena and Gail enjoy talking about their trip to the zoo and Serena tells her that she loved seeing the baby zebras.

"They were so cute" says Serena, and Gail agrees. Serena then asks Gail "Why some babies live and some die??".

Gail is a little shocked by the question but she says, "Some babies just aren't strong enough to stay on earth, and those babies are very special to God, he has special plans for them." Then Serena says that is probably why God invited her mommy up to heaven early, he had special plans for her, too. "She's the brightest star in the sky."
Gail adds, "She's looking down on you and loving you like we all do."

Then Gail suggests that they go get some ice cream. Serena thinks that's a great idea and they're off for more adventures.

Later, when they arrive at the Lighthouse, Scott and Eve are there. Serena runs to show her daddy the "Vegetation set" that Grandma bought her. Gail laughs and says it's a "Veterinarian set."

Then Gail says that she must check her messages and get out of her shoes, as she didn't know they would cover so much ground.

Serena reminds her that it was her idea to go to the park. Gail teases her and says "I thought it was your idea. Serena shakes her head, "No, no, it was your idea!" Gail laughs and says "Oh, you're right.. and I loved every minute of it". She then runs upstairs to check her messages.

Scott and Eve are concerned about the bruise on Serena's arm. When Gail comes back downstairs she wants to know what is wrong. Scott and Eve cover, for the moment. Then, Scott snaps at Gail, "Are you going to bring her a present every time you show up here?" Gail just looks at him and answers, "Probably." Serena then asks her grandmother if they can go read another chapter of Mr. Poppins Penguins. Gail agrees and they go up to Serena's room to read the book.

A little later, Gail comes back down and questions Scott about his attitude. He tells her that he is afraid that the kidnappers did something to Serena. Gail tells him not to look for trouble, he needs to relax and stop worrying so much. Scott asks her if that is the advice of a grandma or a psychiatrist. Gail says, "Both." Scott laughs and says, "Why can't you bake muffins like most Grandmas?" Gail hugs him and says "I'll try"

This is one of my favorite Gail scenes. Scott's daughter, Karen, had gone to San Francisco to confront her husband, Jagger, about his affair with his partner. She returns to Port Charles and locks herself in her apartment eating junk food and watching TV. When she hears someone at the door and she hides in the kitchen.

Gail lets herself in and is surprised to see Karen sitting there in her bathrobe eating a Twinkie . They weren't expecting her until that night, so Gail figured that Scotty had gotten her flight details wrong. Gail had brought a casserole for Karen since Karen's flight was supposed to get in so late and she knew Karen wouldn't want to cook. Gail puts the casserole in the fridge. Karen is trying to clean up the mess and says, "Wow, real food and not take out, sounds great." Gail is in the kitchen and tells Karen, "You're lucky, your grandmother likes to moonlight as Donna Reed".

Gail finds the phone stuck in a pie and brings it to Karen with a puzzled look on her face. Karen says "You must be wondering?"

Gail replies, "Just because I wonder doesn't mean you have to tell me, but if you'd like to explain..."

Karen asks "Explain to you, as my Grandmother, or as my former psychiatrist?" Karen then goes on to tell Gail all about Jagger's affair and tells her about a run-in with Jagger's girlfriend. She begs Gail not to tell anyone. Gail is concerned, but Karen says that she and Jagger just need some time together to work things out.

Gail tells her, "This is just fantasy talk." Gail then goes on to tell Karen that she can survive a break-up, but she can't repair her marriage single-handedly. "You have family here, let us help you," she encourages.

Karen doesn't want her mom to find out and say, "I told you so," about Jagger. Gail tells her, "You kept a buried secret before, with disastrous results." To which Karen replies, "I'm not a scared little kid anymore."

Gail says "I don't think I have met very many people that don't have a scared little child in them somewhere."

Karen begs Gail to keep her secret," Please, be my Grandmother, not my psychiatrist." Gail replies, "Sweetheart, if you think that your Grandma's advice is different from Dr. Baldwin's then I'm afraid you're out of luck." But Gail does agree not to tell anyone, on the condition that Karen doesn't struggle with this secret alone.

"Confidentiality and objectivity guaranteed.. well, confidentiality anyway."

Karen agrees. Gail then hugs Karen and tells her to eat and get some rest and she'll talk to her soon and she leaves.

Lee had taken Serena to see a baseball game and they were sitting in the Recovery Room talking about the game when Scotty walks in.

Serena is very excited about the game and tells her dad that she wants to play baseball and win a big game like the kids she saw today.

Scott say's he'll be the coach and Lee tells him, "If you're ever too busy to coach, I'll gladly volunteer." Scott says "No, No.. she's my daughter, you had your turn.. it's my turn to coach." He then tells Serena that he's not sure she can be the pitcher, he'll have to test out her skills. Serena laughs and asks if she can go get a drink.

Alone with his father, Scott tells Lee that he had a meeting with a new client, Dr. Ellen Burgess. The Psycho Greg Cooper is suing Dr. Burgess and the hospital. Lee says, "When I told her to get a good lawyer, I had no idea she would pick you." Scott laughs, "Is there an insult in there somewhere?"

Lee replies, "No. I just regret the possibility of going nose to nose with my own son!"

Scott touches Lee's arm, "Just think of it as quality time, dad, quality time."

Shortly after Gail counseled Karen about her break-up with Jagger, she went to the hospital to check up on her granddaughter. She walked into the on-call room and told Karen that she had stopped by to see how Karen was doing. Karen told Gail that she had been up to her elbows in a colon all morning, "How about you?"

"Oh, nothing so dramatic," laughed Gail. "I just wanted to know about you."

"What's to know?" asked Karen. Gail asked her if she had told anyone about Jagger's affair with his partner and how badly she was feeling. Karen said, "No, and I don't plan to."

Gail was concerned about Karen keeping this huge, hurtful secret, but Gail promised not to say anything to anyone. The two ladies then sit down and enjoy some Chinese food. During lunch, Karen tells Gail how she had met Joe when they were 10 years old. They were best friends. But they lost touch when they went to different high schools. Gail then asked her if that was when she met Jagger. Karen tells her, "I went through hell to be with Jagger and it couldn't have been for nothing." Karen told Gail that she thinks her marriage died when Jagger's brother, Stone, died. She doesn't think that Jagger cares if he lives or dies. One time when Jagger was shot in the line of duty and on the road to recovery, she had begged him to quit the Police Force. But Jagger refused. That's when Karen realized that Jagger was obsessed with his job and that's why Karen decided to come to Port Charles for the Intern program.

Gail says "It was wrong of Lee to arrange that without your knowledge."

Karen says, she was mad at first, but now she thinks that her grandfather did her favor. She had really hoped that if she came to Port Charles that Jagger would follow her. Gail looking sad, whispers, "But he didn't."

Karen sighs "No, but I have to know the truth."

"If Jagger came through the door and told you that Fran was lying about the affair, would you take him back?"

"I would, as long as Jagger would stay in Port Charles."

Gail realizes that they hadn't looked at their fortune cookies, so she tells Karen to go first. Karen reads her cookie, laughs and crumbles it up.

As her pager goes off, she kisses Gail on the cheek and thanks her for dinner. Gail picks up Karen's fortune cookie and reads "To find the love that's missing in your life, look to your oldest friend."

After Kevin was injured in an explosion at Ferncliff, Gail brings Serena back to the Lighthouse to pick up her stuff. Serena is going to spend the night with Lee and Gail while Scott and Lucy are at the hospital with Kevin.

Gail tells Serena that they are going to have a wonderful time. She asks Serena if she had ever made caramel apples at Halloween.

Serena yells, "Grandma!" She tells her grandmother that someone has been in the house because a picture of Serena and Scott that was always on the table is missing.

Gail tries to comfort the little girl and suggests that maybe Lucy moved the picture and that she will ask Lucy about it as soon as she can. She then tells Serena that they have to hurry because Lee is waiting for then outside. They head up the stairs to gather Serena's things. Little do they know that Rex is hiding in the corner.

Rex had broken into the Lighthouse and drugged some of Scott's envelopes with a hallucinogenic drug. When Scott licked the envelope he had a bad reaction to the drugs. Scott didn't want anyone to know what had happened. A few days after Scott's "trip," Gail brought Serena home to the Lighthouse. Serena runs into Scotty's arms and shows him the get-well card she had made for him. Gail tells Serena to be careful because Daddy had been sick. Scott tells her he is fine.

When Gail asks him what the Doctor had said, Scotty just smiles. Gail realizes he never went to the Doctor. Scott assures Gail that he is fine, that he just had the flu. Scotty asks Serena if she had a good time.

Gail remarks, "What a question!"

Serena tells Scotty, "Grandpa taught me how to play blackjack!" Scotty teases Gail about teaching Serena to gamble. Gail tells him, "It's mathematical in its orientation."

Scotty laughs "OK, now I will have someone to go to Las Vegas with". Serena also proclaims proudly, "Grandma gave me her Mercury Dime collection."

Scott asks if she won it. Gail says, "No, it was a gift. The two twenties and the loose change are her winnings."

Serena goes upstairs to put her loot in her little Sailor Bank while Gail expresses her concerns to Scotty. "You look pale, I am going to go make him a nice pot of soup."

Scotty tells her he doesn't want any soup. But Gail insists, saying, "It will perk you right up. Lucy is gone and someone needs to stay and take care of you. I have the day off, so who better than me?"

Scott laughingly says, "I just shooed one Mother Hen out of here and another one just flew in the window!"

Serena and Gail are sitting at the table in the Lighthouse looking at the Halloween party invitations they had just made. They talk about how they should decorate them. They decide to use lots of scary stickers.

Gail tells Serena she doesn't think they have any envelopes, but Serena assures her grandmother that "daddy has a lot in his briefcase". Gail doesn't think it would be a good idea to use all of Scotty's envelopes because he might need them for business. But Serena insists that it will be OK. While Serena goes to get the envelopes, Gail admires one of the invitations that Serena had just made. She really likes how Serena colored the witches nose green.

Serena laughs, "It's a pickle nose."

Gail also laughs, "A pickle nose, right. Must be a Halloween Pickle."

Serena says, "There is no such thing as a Halloween Pickle."

Gail tells her, "You're right, but there is such a thing as a Halloween tickle."

She leans over and tickles the little girl. They both laugh. Then they start putting the invitations into the envelopes, not knowing that Rex had drugged the envelopes. Luckily, Gail stops Serena from licking the contaminated envelope telling her they will wet the envelopes with a sponge later.

Kevin has just been released from the hospital, and he and Lucy come walking into the Lighthouse, fully intending to be alone. They are a bit surprised to see Gail and Serena.

Serena is very excited and tells them that her Grandma is letting her have a Halloween party and that she is going to invite her whole class.

Kevin asks her what she is going to be for Halloween?? Serena tells him she wants to be a Spice girl. Gail says, "But mean old Grandma doesn't think they wear enough clothes. I'm afraid she will catch pneumonia!"

Serena then asks if they can dress Sigmund up as a chicken. Gail thinks about it for a few seconds and then replies, "As long as it's not beneath his sense of duck dignity."

Kevin and Lucy then head upstairs and Gail and Serena happily continue to work on the invitations.

Scott and Serena were showing Gail their new home, a wonderful old firehouse complete with fire pole. Serena wanted to show Gail how to slide down the pole but Scotty told her, "I don't think Grandma is wearing the right shoes."

Gail said, "I promise next time I'll wear my special sneakers."

Scott also told Gail that he was thinking about "messing around with the law again." Gail was surprised and she couldn’t wait to tell Lee.

Scott sent Serena into the kitchen to finish her breakfast and continues to tell Gail his plans. There was a knock at the door and FBI agents were there to arrest Scotty for kidnapping Serena.

At the police station Serena is coloring and Gail is talking to the social worker.

She asks Gail if she understands the purpose of the interview. (How dumb is that? A mere social worker asks a psychologist if she knows about Social Services? Ha!)

Gail says, "Of course. You have to make sure that my husband and I can provide a good environment for Serena. My husband Lee would be here but he was called out of town."

Lucy barges in and tells the Social Worker off and insists that she hurries up with the interview so Serena can go home with her grandmother.

When Scott finally gets out of jail and he shows up at Gail’s to see Serena. Gail tells him that he can't see Serena without the court appointed Social Worker in attendance. Scott tries to get Gail to let him see Serena for just a few minutes, anyway. Gail doesn't want Scotty to get into trouble, but she leaves the room. Suddenly, Serena walked in and is thrilled to see her daddy. They leave together and go to the Gazebo that they had once shared with Dominique.

In the meantime, Gail is frantic when she discovers that both Serena and Scotty are gone. She calls Karen and Lucy to help her find Serena before anyone realizes that Scotty took her.

Lucy and Karen find the two of them and talk Scotty into returning the child to Gail's house. It would be much better for Serena to stay with Lee and Gail than to go to a foster home!

A few weeks later, Serena and Gail walked into their house to find Joe and Karen are already there decorating for the Halloween party.

Joe asks, "How was the Halloween party at school?"

Gail laughs, "Noisy, but fun. But on the way home, the seat belt was the only thing that kept her from bouncing out of the car!"

Joe asked, "Sugar rush?"

Gail said, "Scotty's visit."

Serena tells Joe and Karen, "This is the first time I have seen my daddy since he was taken away."

During the party, Serena runs away because she hears the grown-ups talking about Rex trying to get custody of Serena. Scotty finds her in the bushes and he carries her back into the house. Gail (who looks great in a cat costume) runs to make sure Serena is ok.

Serena is disappointed that all the other children have left, but Gail tells her that it was late and they all had to go home. She offers to make Serena some hot chocolate while Scotty makes Serena promise never to run away again.

Later, in court, Gail was called to testify about the temporary custody of Serena.

The prosecutor asks her, "Did you give your son permission to take Serena without the presence of the court ordered Social Worker?"

"He's her father, she tried to explain, “Serena was very upset, she needed her father.”

The prosecutor prodded, "So he ran off with Serena when you weren't looking.”

Gail said, "No, I wouldn't say that."

"Do you think you provide accurate supervision of the child?"

Gail nodded in the affirmative.

The Prosecutor continued, "The court required that Mr. Baldwin only have visits with his daughter that are supervised is that true?”

Gail, becoming very uncomfortable, says, "yes."

"Do you think that the court was unduly harsh with that restriction?"

Gail said tactfully, "In my professional opinion, yes, I do.'

The Prosecutor accusingly said, "And you know better then the court."

Gail replied, "As a citizen of this community, I respect the court and I don't have a problem with the terms of this custody.”

Looking satisfied, he asked, "Then why did you let Mr. Baldwin take the child?"

Gail looks at Scotty sadly, "I didn't let him take her."

Looking really smug he then asked, "Did you try to stop him?"

"I wasn't there," she replied.

“Well, where were you?”

"I went to get the car and when I got back they were gone."

"So, Mr. Baldwin didn't have permission to take her?”

Gail said, regretfully, "No."

Then it would seem that Scott Baldwin took Serena, your granddaughter without permission, isn't that true?" he queried.

Gail looks at Scotty again. "Yes, that's true."

Shortly after the custody trial, Gail and Serena stopped by the Hospital to pick up some papers from Gail's office. They were planning on going for pizza afterwards.

Unfortunately, they ran into Danielle, who was trying to claim that she was Serena's biological mother. Gail tried to steer Serena away from Danielle, but Serena recognized the woman and told Danielle that she would never live with her and that she hated her. Karen approached the group and tells Serena to go with Grandma and that she would take of this. Karen told Danielle off in no uncertain terms stay away from her sister.

The whole Baldwin family and Rhonda were gathered at the Lighthouse for Thanksgiving. Gail was talking to Lucy and complimenting her on how wonderful everything smelled. Lucy proudly told her, "I ordered everything myself." Gail laughed. Serena joined them and complained that she couldn't smell the turkey. Lucy tried to explain to the little girl that they were having a Vegetarian Thanksgiving because of Sigmond the Duck. Scott was not very happy to hear this and he made Lucy order a complete turkey dinner from Kelly's. Later everyone was seated around the table and Scott said grace. As they started to eat, they heard quacking. Lucy peeked under the table to discover that Sigmond, or rather Sigmond’s girlfriend had laid an egg.

As Scotty's trial grew closer, Lucy and Kevin decided to pretend to break up so that Lucy could get closer to the man that was framing Scotty, Rex Stanton. They walked into a restaurant and spotted Lee and Gail and decided to try to make them believe that Kevin and Lucy were having problems. When Lee and Gail saw Kevin and Lucy, Gail invited them to join them. But Lucy started giving them a hard time about leaving Serena. Gail assured Lucy that Serena was fine. Serena was with a friend and that it was good for her to be with other children. But Lucy wouldn't give up, "You would think that after everything that Serena's been through that you wouldn't let her out of your sight."

Lee told her not to worry because Scotty's security people were watching Serena. But Lucy said that wasn't good enough. Gail asked her what was wrong with her and this really set Lucy off. Kevin tried to make excuses for Lucy but this only made Lucy more upset and she continued to go off on Lee and Gail. Kevin finally told her to knock it off and go sit down and they went to their own table. Lee and Gail just shook their heads.

Gail said, "She is unusually high strung."

Lee commented, "Even for Lucy. What the heck has gotten into her?"

Gail figured it was just because she was so concerned about Serena. But she told Lee, "Having a life that is normal is very important for a child and friends are a part of that."

Lee agreed. Then Gail told Lee that she was so glad that they could have Serena with them during this horrible nightmare.

Lee said, "It's the best place she can be outside of being with her father."

Gail asked Lee, "What if Scotty loses this trial, God forbid? How would you feel if we petitioned for permanent custody?”

Lee looked at her, "Are we too old?"

Gail smiled at him. "If I thought that I would never have brought it up."

Lee said, "I hope it will never come to pass, but there is nothing I would like better.”

Everyone was gathered at the Lighthouse for Serena's birthday party.

Lucy, Karen and Gail were trying to cheer up Serena but she didn't want to do anything until her daddy got there. Scott, Lee and Kevin walked in the door. And Serena ran up to Scott and gave him a big hug and a kiss.

Lee asked her if he could have one also. Gail brought out the birthday cake and Serena blew out the candles. She wishes that she could live with her daddy. She is upset because she misses one candle and she is afraid that she won't get her wish. She runs off crying, but Scott goes after her. Gail comments that "This trial is having a terrible effect on Serena."

Lee adds, "On Scott, too." Scott is able to comfort Serena and he promises her that everything will be OK.

Serena stays home from school because she has a tummy ache. Gail tucks her into bed and goes back downstairs. Serena starts to cry because she misses her daddy and she's afraid that she will have to go live with Rex. Suddenly Serena's dead mother, Dominique, appears. She explains that she has come down for a visit to help Serena through this rough time. They decide to have a tea party and Gail walks up to the door and hears Serena talking to someone. She walks into the room and Serena tells her that she is having tea with her mommy.

Gail doesn't know quite what to say, but she tells Serena that since she is feeling better that she'll go down and make her some toast to go with her cocoa.

Serena reminds her," Don't forget mommy." Gail looks worried and leaves the room. Serena asks Dom, "Why didn't Grandma say anything to you?"

Dominique tells Serena that the magic only allows Serena to see her. Serena seems to accept this and they go on with their tea party.

Dominique has just finished braiding Serena's hair. Serena looks in the mirror and she is very excited because it's the first time that mommy has ever braided her hair. Serena can't wait for Grandma to see it.

Dominique smiles, "Yes, I'm sure she'll be very surprised."

Gail comes back into the room and is indeed surprised.

She asks Serena, "How in the world did you braid your hair all by yourself?"

Serena tells her she had help. Gail can't believe it "Of course, your mommy helped you didn't she?”

Serena informs her grandmother that it's called a Horse Braid. But, you don't have to be a horse to wear it."

Gail laughs, "Oh, of course not."

Later Scott and Eve arrive. Gail tells Scotty, "Now it's going to take hours to get her to sleep." . Scott assures Gail that he'll tuck Serena in.

Scott asks Gail, "What am I going to do about this?"

Gail looks at him. "Are you asking a grandmother or a therapist?”

Scott says, "Both, I think."

Gail tells him to not ask too many questions, just assume that Serena's imaginary friend really is Dominique and act accordingly.

Scott sits down to talk to Serena and she asks him about the yellow baby sweater that her mommy made for her. Scott's not sure where it is and asks her if she remembers wearing that sweater. Serena giggles, "No, silly, I was just an eensy, weensy baby when I wore that sweater.”

Scott says, "Well, it's just an eensy, weensy sweater. But Serena wants it because it is the last gift her mother gave to her. Scotty promises to try and find it. Scott asks Lee and Gail if they had mentioned the sweater to Serena. Gail tells him that Serena was the one the brought it up. Scott figured that Lucy must have told Serena about the sweater, because Lucy had to finish it when Dom died.

Serena informs them, "My mommy told me about the sweater."

Scott, Lee and Gail all look worried.
